Todays post is dedicated to PFW…I was unexpectedly given the chance to walk in Philly Fashion Week! I, of course, could not pass up the opportunity. Getting to walk on that runway will be a memory that I will never forget! The rush was absolutely amazing, and the feeling was indescribable. I was so nervous to walk the runway, but as soon as the models did a practice run, I knew it wouldn’t be so bad.
The picture above shows the hair and makeup team doing their thing! The result of my makeup is shown down below! The director for the show wanted the models to have a natural look. I absolutely loved how my makeup came out! You can never go wrong with a soft, dewey look, nude lips, and a winged eye. My hair was definitely a look for the runway (not something I would usually do to my hair). My hair was pinned up and fluffed out! All I was thinking was how I was gonna untangle my crazy mane the next day:/
The designer that I walked for was Jason Richardson. His company is titled “Avenue Black” and it was inspired by his childhood battle of kidney cancer. I must say that I absolutely loved his line. The zip-up shown above was worn under a a grey crew neck hoodie (photo shown down below), paired with a back, flowy skirt, fishnet tights and basic white sneakers. Check out their website at:
After I finished walking the runway, I changed into my own ensemble to watch the rest of the show…I paired a black body suit with black pants that are cutout in the pockets. It’s hard to tell in the picture that the pockets are cutout but they are lol To finish off my look, I wore extremely painful bedazzled silver heels.
Shout out to one of my best friends, Toyo, for coming out and supporting me! I love you so much….You all should go and follow her blog at https://totalsimplexion.com ! Its amazing so go check it out and subscribe !
All in all, PFW was an amazing experience, one that I will never forget!
