My Everyday Go-To Makeup Look…

Hey Loves!

I have finally gotten around to putting together my first official “Beauty” post!!

As the title states, I wanted to show you guys my absolute fav everyday makeup look.

Simple. Beautiful. Not-so Natural.

Because, I mean, c’mon lets be honest here the words “makeup” and “natural” don’t really go together… but we’ll call it natural.

To see how I achieved this look. Continue reading down below!

STEP 1: Moisturize

Before I apply any makeup to my face, I always, I repeat: ALWAYS apply some kind of oil.

*fav oils to apply to my face: tea tree oil, jojoba oil, and last but certainly not least coconut oil. (I don’t discriminate when it comes to oil)

STEP 2: Apply Foundation

Here is where I discriminate a little…

Current Status of my Skin: Combination of Dry and somewhat oily. So I knew I needed to find a foundation that wouldn’t dry out my skin. After searching high and low, aisle after aisle, youtube haul videos after youtube haul videos…I FINALLY found one that I absolutely love!

*drumrole please…

the new NYX liquid drop foundation

The application is so smooth yet dewey, and the result is flawless. I absolutely love it, however the only downside to it is the fact that variety of color options are lacking. The color change from one bottle to the next is quite drastic, if you ask me, but luckily I managed to find the perfect color.

STEP 3: Concealer

The best concealer in terms of coverage is hands-down, the Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer.

A little goes a long way with this stuff, so use it sparingly!

STEP 4: Contour

The one step I could never not do!

In order to be consistent with a dewey, fresh look, I like to go with a cream contour palette, rather than a powder. In the darkest shade I contoured under my cheek bones,  my nose, and my forehead near the hairline with the Bellapierre Cream Contour Palette

STEP 5: Highlight

To further brighten the area under my eyes, I used the Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser.

STEP 6: Eyeliner

To achieve the classic winged liner look, I find that using felt tip liners are the easiest. For this look, I used the Catrice Cosmetics Felt Tip waterproof pen

We are almost to the finish line ladies and gents, just hold on….I know these steps are ridiculous!!! By this point I needed to eat something….so….

.I went downstairs and  opened the fridge

.made a sandwich

.ate it  with gladness

.proceeded to finish my makeup…

STEP 7: Mascara

In terms of my lashes, I try to avoid clumping at all costs!!! Because, last I checked, spider legs for lashes was sacrilegious and just plain ugly. Say it with me: “Dump the Clump!”

My current absolute favorite mascara is the Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara. It separates every single one of my lashes and leaves me with people constantly asking me:

“What lashes do you wear?”

My response: “Umm the Melanie Atallah lashes”

and then they say “huh, never heard of them….”

My response: : “JK they are my natural lashes.”

their response: “Oh WOW! God Bless you child!!”

Applying Castor Oil, is my secret to my long thick lashes. Apply it every night, and you will notice the results, TRUST ME…just do it. NOW.

I’ll wait here…

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST….the finish line!!!

STEP 8: Lippie

To keep it simple, I used the NYX lingerie, no not underwear…..liquid lipstick

ok I’m done.
